Why Kenya?
Kenyan forests are going through really tough times. This country was renowned for its wealthy forest life and biodiversity. But the illegal human activities in recent decades have badly affected the forest land and consequently, only 7% of the land is covered with trees.
Deforestation has not only affected wildlife and biodiversity but has created severe environmental issues like soil erosion, desertification, degraded water quality, and floods. These issues have badly disrupted the occupations like agriculture, fisheries, and others that depend on natural resources.

One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and knowledgeable experts to create an impact on nature, people, and wildlife. Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods provide jobs for social impact, and restores biodiversity.
